Our daughter was born with a condition called Fibular Hemimelia. In the summer of 2015, our daughter had her right foot amputated. In 2022, we discovered Amputee Blade Runners in Nashville, TN. ABR is a non-profit organization that helps provide free prosthetics for amputees. Our experience at ABR who hand makes each and every new prosthetic leg for our daughter has been incredible, and we have appreciated the kindness and generosity provided over the years. We are so grateful to be able to donate to ABR!
We have been residents of Utah for over 8 years and this organization has been an incredible support to the refugee population in our state. The Utah Refugee Connection creates meaningful connections between refugees, the community and public and private organizations that support refugees in developing self-sufficient and fulfilling lives. We are so excited to be able to support this organization in their efforts!
In 2016, we (Joel and Kristin - founders of Maven Thread) met our sweet little boy through Utah Foster Care. When our son was only 4 and ½ months old we were able to adopt him and complete our family. It has been the biggest blessing in our life and we feel so fortunate to have him and feel passionate about supporting the Utah Foster Care organization!
