Who even knows what the inside of a gym looks like anymore? For many of us, what started as temporary gym closures has by now turned into a complete home gym habit change that may or may not ever go back.

Our guess is your spare bedroom turned office / gym / craft room could use a bit of an organizational refresh at this point. We’ve been feeling inspired lately to reorganize with these space-saving home gym storage hacks!

Yoga Mat Shelf

Vertical storage is key anytime you are looking to save space. This wall shelf serves double duty with brackets large enough to tuck in a yoga or mat or two when done with your workout.

Peg Board

A peg board gives you the space to store a variety of the items most important to your workout regimen, like resistance bands, fitness mat, towel and more. Plus the pegs can always be moved around, giving you the flexibility to adapt your setup as your workouts change.

We especially love how the pink stripes painted on this DIY board add some extra fun and personality!

Shoe Rack

Shoe racks aren’t just great for organization in your closet or entryway. The compact shelves won’t take up too much floor space in your workout area, but have just the right amount of storage for dumbbells, gym shoes, a notebook and whatever else you need.

Gym Cart

You’ve probably seen these brightly colored carts on Pinterest or Instagram at least a few times by now. Three compact compartments provide lots of space to hold all your workout essentials, and the carts come in a variety of fun shades so you’re sure to find one that fits your vibe. And since it’s on wheels, it can easily be tucked away and out of sight!

Dumbbell Holder

Sure, your dumbbells can sit on the floor in a pile, or they could rest nice and organized on a dumbbell holder. If you have more than two sets, one of these racks can really help you out.

Hopefully these storage hacks help you save some space and make more efficient use of your home gym area!
